Behind the camera

My name is Ethan Hogan, a 16-year-old sports photographer based in Mackay, Queensland. I specialise in capturing fast-paced action from rugby league and other local sporting events, focusing on delivering sharp, high-quality images that showcase the effort, emotion, and intensity of the game.

What started as a passion for photography quickly grew into a drive to document sport in a way that families and players can look back on and relive their best moments. I spend my weekends around Mackay’s fields and stadiums, working to capture everything from big tackles and tries to the smaller moments that tell the full story of a match.

I aim to provide parents and clubs with professional level images. Making it easier for families to get lasting memories of their kids’ games without needing to rely on staged photos or generic coverage.

I have worked with Mackay’s best sporting teams and organisations which include Mackay Cutters, Mackay Meteors and Meteorettes, and League kings Academy.

Every game is different, and I approach each one with the goal of improving my craft while delivering images that are clear, dynamic, and meaningful.

If you’re looking for sports photography for your child’s game or club in Mackay, feel free to get in touch or book a session through the website.
